It's my first attempt to use motion paths. I'm trying to get a car to drive to different spots on a road map. However, I can't figure out how to make the car advance the entire distance using a single motion path. To make it work, I ultimately did three slides, but it isn't a smooth movement. It has a slight delay between each slide. Nothing in the tutorials addressed this. If you can help, I'd be much appreciative.
Hi Diane - I think you can achieve what you want with the freeform motion path. Take a look at the attached source file and see if it's close to what you're after.
How do I get the car to move in the right position, as opposed to it traveling along the road sideways? Also, how do I stop the motion path at the desired destination? The line just follows my cursor around the screen, moving the car wildly. Thanks again!

That's exactly what I want to do. Let me try that and see what happens. Thanks sooooo much, David!

There's an option to orient to motion path. Here's more info: https://articulate.com/support/article/How-to-Orient-Objects-to-Motion-Paths-in-Articulate-Storyline-360
You have a couple of options to pause the motion path animation. Because the motion path is synced with your timeline, you can:
I've included both examples in the attached source file.
This is exactly what I needed, David. Thanks for taking the time to walk me through it!
You're welcome! Your project looks fun. Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions.
