I have a client that has 3 mini-modules within 1 large course. They want to track, in their LMS, when a student has completed each mini-module and also report when the full module has been completed.
Depending on your LMS you could create a curriculum in which you would place each "mini-module." After each mini-module is completed it will show as a percent of the whole (for instance if you have 3 then it would show 33% completion when the learner finishes one) and when they complete all 3 then it shows 100% completion. But you'll have to check your LMS to ensure it offers this function. Otherwise you'll have to combine them into one module. This really is a limitation of SCORM. There is no spec that allows for one object to check and report on another (using simple language).
Hi Brooke -- In addition to the response Michael has shared, I thought I would pass along this information on Tracking Multiple SCOs in the Same Course in case you'd like to take a look. :)

Thank you, Michael! This is really helpful!
