I would like the selected state to just be a background color change. I managed to make almost all of the radio button transparent but I can't set the radio itself to "No color."
If you rebuild the question as a freeform pick one and use a shape with a background colour change, I think I may have misinterpreted the request, I would never use a radio button without a selected state it goes against UI principles but I trout it was just a request for text with a background colour change. In time I will learn to read
I DO believe you know how to read. You're so far ahead of me, I can't even express it! Just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything different about radio buttons in situations other than MC.
Although I wouldn't want an option button without a color, AND I may well be "misreading" the request (my husband can attest to my at times misreading ;_)) Keari DID want an indication of a selected state appearing, but she wanted it to ONLY be the background highlight color.
And, I don't know what Keari's needs are either that may not align with the "standards" as difficult as it is for those of use who are familiar with those standards to acknowledge.
For example, I sometimes see people wanting to use option buttons in situations where there is more than one correct option - instead of checkboxes
or, alternatively
wanting to use checkboxes when there's only 1 correct choice instead of option buttons
and it's like fingernails on a blackboard! ...
And I think to myself, Becky, maybe you've been doing this too long!
Thanks, guys! I didn't want a radio button at all so I ended up converting all my questions to freeform pick one. I am not one to go against web standards!

Hi Keari,
Welcome to the community
I don't think that's possible. If you look at the drop-downs for
Radio Fill
Radio Border
Radio Color
You'll see that you have, in order
No Fill
No border
But, there isn't a "no" option for color
Would be better to rebuilds freeform pick one question type
Phil, do you mean with option buttons? Isn't it the same...no option for "no radio color"?
I personally would want a radio color, but I think that's what Keari was asking for...or that's how I interpreted (misinterpreted?) it.

I can read
Agree with you becky about check boxes and radio buttons.
Being very honest though I made this mistake a couple of weeks ago and really kicked myself when it was pointed.
(If it was my children I would have said "Do as I say. not as I do"
