I worked on my first Storyline 360 project, and published it. My hard drive crashed, and I got a new laptop. I had to get my Articulate Storyline 360 re-installed. Of course, the presentation is not in my newly installed application. I do have the published version. Is there a way to edit my published version? Can I import the published version into Storyline to edit? Or do I have start from scratch! :(
You can make only very minor edits to the published output, and that would not be supported by Articulate at all. If you still have your old hard drive, you might be able to recover your old project file off of it. That's what you really need, the original .story file.
data recovery would be a good option, most often unless it has been destroyed, you can send it out and get the files back. going forward i would recommend copying your story file to a cloud drive after each exit. we have that SOP in place so that we don't rely on 1 physical storage drive but rather the enormous redundancy that the cloud grants.
Storyline files aren't saved or included in the publishing process, so we always recommend saving the .story file to your local drive and following along with the other guidelines here (which will also prevent file corruption!).

Hi Michael,
