Can I "Snap" back a "wrong" Drag & Drop if it's not a Quiz?

Oct 08, 2013

Hi Heroes,

I'm creating a Drag & Drop non-graded Knowledge Check. I can't use the Quiz or "Convert to Freeform" because neither supports multiple "correct" answers.

So my approach is to display a "correct" and "incorrect" lightbox screen.  It works fine for what I need to do.

Question: Is there a way for me to "Return item to start point if dropped outside-->drop target" if it's the wrong answer like in a quiz Drag & Drop?

If so, please be pretty specific about the steps involved.

Thanks,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Is this the same quiz question you're working on over here?  Just wanted to link to that in case, so that other community members can see your file. You can set up a freeform drag and drop, where the drop target is correct for more than one answer. You can only drag an item to one drop target though.

Hi Ashley,

Attached is the file from the most recent approach. Variable and triggers did not work. States and triggers did not work. Using a lightbox approach works, however, my lead designed wants the Question Types (red) and Answer Types (green) to "snap" back to their starting position if they are dragged onto the wrong question (blue).

Thanks,

Rick
