Can I use Storyline to create 'how-to' iphone videos
Oct 17, 2014
My client is looking for me to create a bunch of performance support pieces to help thier remote workforce with some new technology pieces.
These folks pretty much live on their iphones and to a lesser extent their ipads.
A key requirement is that thet need to be able to access these at time of need via 1 (or at most 2) clicks from inside an email or similar
They have the SABA LMS but the 'mobile' part is not turned on yet.
One option I've been playing with is building them in Captivate, publishing as Video and uploading them to YouTube.
I'd far rather use Articulate but I'm not sure I can.
Any suggestions
Thanks folks.

Storyline doesn't directly publish to a video format. So if that's what you want then you need to build your content in Storyline, publish it, run it and then record it in Storyline (the resulting video can then be uploaded to some hosted video service.
If you only need to record a demo of some software (e.g. ERP system) and don't need any captions, quiz, etc. you could record that in Storyline and use the video of the recording from the content folder of the published content.
This is probably not what you are looking for , but here is one example recording of an app that runs on iPhones.
Thanks Michael.
I don't think that I'm going to be able to do this with my favourite products suite then :(
Ah well.
Hi Alan, how about these:

Looks like Reflector may be helpful?
If you have OS X Yosemite installed you can directly record you iPhone in Quicktime.
I would put a vote in for Reflector though, cool easy to use piece of software
