Can Storyline help with creation of a video and the desktop screen shots at the same time? Or would the desktop demonstration have to be done twice (1 for video and 1 for screen capture)?
It sounds like you’re trying to create a screen recording for both a video and step-by-step slides, is that correct?
The good news is you can insert the same screencast into your course in multiple ways!
Insert as a video: After you finish recording (where the preview window is still open), select the option to insert it as a Video on a single slide.
Insert as step-by-step slides: Once you've inserted a screen recording, it's saved in Storyline and you can use it again to insert step-by-step slides. Go to the Slides tab on the ribbon, click the Record Screen drop-down arrow, and choose a screencast. Then select the option to insert the same video as Step-by-step slides.
Give it a try, and let me know if you need any help along the way!
