Can Storyline send quiz results to Tutor via email?

We currently use other software for online assessments but I am exploring if we move to Storyline, can we use Storyline quiz capabilities as a replacement.

So my question is - Can Storyline send the results of quizzes/tests to the Tutor via email, instead of showing results to the student once the quiz/test is complete?

Hi Debbie!

Storyline does not provide a built-in feature for emailing results. We want every feature in our software to work well. And, unfortunately, there’s no way to email results easily, accurately, and consistently. For example, if you use Gmail or your computer’s security settings are high, you can’t email results. Also, you run the risk of learners tampering with results since they can access the email before it’s sent. Given these limitations, we decided not to include the email results feature in our products anymore.

However, there have been a few discussions on this topic on the forums and you may find some of the other community member suggestions helpful. One option is to use JavaScript. However, please keep in mind that Articulate doesn't provide support for JavaScript. There are some awesome Heroes in this community that would be able to help with this, though

Hello, I am using Storyline 2 and I am having a few issues with publishing. I have created a quizz and hit publish, but the problem is that I need to send the quizz to a client's email address in an easy to open and use format. I have been zipping the folder and attaching it, but when the client opens the folder they do not know which file to click on to open the quizz. Is there an easier way to send the quizz via email to the client? Also, is there a plugin available so that the client can send the results slide back to me????????????? I hope someone can help. I have attached a screen shot of the open zip folder to show all of the files inside. Thanks, Dan

Hey Dan!

So, you would like to send the course directly to the user? You are not uploading the course somewhere for tracking?

If you need to e-mail the actual course, be sure that you are publishing to CD. We do not have an e-mail results feature due to security restraints, but the user could perhaps print something off for you or capture a screen shot when completed.
