I'm trying to add a YouTube video using web object and when I test the link I'm getting the message "The web address you entered cannot be displayed in a frame. In order to function properly, this web object must be set to open in a new browser window"
Am I doing something wrong as I want it to open in the slide?

Hi Michael, I'm having trouble loading my 360 YouTube video into Storyline. How did you get it to work? When I load the embed link, it looses the 360 functionality and plays flat. The 360 functionality is actually only playing Chrome and not IE for my video, so maybe it was uploaded wrong? Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!
I was able to get it to play with the web-object, but it opens in a new link. How would I get it to play within the course like your Blue Angels 360 video plays within the course rather than linking out to a new window?
What browser are you using to view the published content? I'm on Google Chrome and both versions (using the embed code and the URL) of your video work for me. See here.
Thanks Michael, the link opens directly in IE for me. I replied to your test file, I am still having trouble on my end. How did you get the video in there for it to function like that?
I suggest you download the testfile I had posted, publish it to your server, run it in your browser and see if that changes anything on your end. You can also look at the embed code and URL string I had used and compare them to yours.
Thanks Michael, after comparing your file to mine, I found that the "Web Object link" will not work, but the other two options will work: "Web Object Embed" and "Video Embed Code".
We are still experiencing issues with the 360 functionality playing properly on some IE browsers (Windows 10 seems to play fine, but older operating systems and IE programs unwrap the 360 video to a wide flat image). Have you noticed that? It is only playing properly in Chrome. Have you found any other solutions to that other than telling learners to go through the entire eLearning in Chrome?
I don't have a suggestion for handling older OS/browsers. I would submit a support case. This doesn't seem to be a Storyline issue, so I'm not sure what the response will be; but it may be worth a try.

You can insert a 3D video or animated object into a Storyline webobject, as shown here
And here is an example of a 360degree YouTube video, embedded into SL.

Can you share the video's URL so that someone can take a look?

See attached the file I used to test your video.
