Hi Howie,

Sure - Studio '09 and '13 can be imported into Storyline 2 using the directions here:

  1. Importing Slides from Microsoft PowerPoint
  2. Importing Slides from Articulate Quizmaker
  3. Importing Articulate Engage Interactions

If you're using Storyline 1, you can only import Studio '09 files and the directions are similar to mentioned above.

Hi Ashley,

Are we saying that even if you import Studio 13 Engage files into Storyline 2 and publish for HTML5 output that the engage interactions won't be compatible with Android?

We have a client where most of their content is built with Engage interactions ('13) and they want compatibility in Android without using the mobile player.

If we were to publish the Engage files as web objects manually then manually import as web objects into the Storyline slides and publish for HTML5 output, would this make a difference to compatibility?

Thanks!

Hi Louise,

Yes, you'll want to use the latter method that you mentioned - as when you import the files into Storyline as a normal Engage import, it doesn't allow for the normal Engage elements to recognize if you're viewing in HTML5, it's only going to rely on the Storyline elements to do so, and those won't change the Engage behavior. Here are the directions for how to do exactly what you mentioned in terms of a web object.
