Can't get layers to show multiple times

Dec 18, 2019

I have a base slide with 4 layers. Each layer will show only one time. I would like for users to freely navigate between the layers, as many times as they would like. I also want entrance and exit animations for each layer. How can I do both?

Thanks!

Go to each layer and do the following:

  1. Set the layer options to "RESET TO INITIAL STATE" when revisiting.
  2. Add your entrance and exit animations to your layered elements.
  3. Add a cue point 1 second before the end of the layer timeline (after all the entrance animations have completed, adjust the timeline as needed here)
  4. Add a trigger to pause the timeline when timeline reaches the cue point you added (#1)
  5. Add a trigger to the CLOSE button to resume the timeline when user clicks
  6. Change the HIDE LAYER trigger so that it is triggered by the timeline reaching the end.

Now, the close button will trigger the last 1 second of exit animations and the timeline trigger will close the layer, you should be able to visit each layer as many times as desired.
