I've tried the "Player" settings under "Other" and did all combinations of browser and player settings but still my player has white spaces on the right and left side of the browser as seen in the screenshot . I've also tried to change story size under design tab and nothing seems to change the width of the player to fit the screen . i'm using articulate 3 .
Hi there, Aya. The aspect ratio of the slide size won't change, meaning that your course won't stretch horizontally if there is no more room vertically. Is that what's happening?
If you'd like to share your .story file, we can have a look at the behavior in a few different browsers.
Since you see white spaces on the right and left side of the player, it sounds like you need to increase the width of the slide size, but not the height. To do that, uncheck the Lock aspect ratio option before adjusting the width.
Also, keep in mind your learners will be using different screen sizes to view the course--if the slide fits your screen, it may not perfectly fit another screen of a different size.

The slide size is custom (1920 x 1080 ) , but even increasing it doesn't result in any change .
