I'm a newby with Storyline and can't get the course to publish to a CD. When I click Publish (for CD) I can see the progression through about 32 of my slides, then it goes back to the standard 'publish' screen. No Congratulations message received and when I open the folder to view the files, there are the audios and video (mp3 & 4) and some jpg files but no .exe file.
Sorry you're having trouble with the publish. Just to be sure, are you publishing the course to your local drive? Publishing Storyline to a network or USB drive can be problematic. You may also want to try importing the course into a new .story file to see if that helps cure any corruption that may have occurred in your current file and thus preventing it from publishing properly.
Peter, thanks for the quick response. I imported it to a new story and saw that a slide had 3 visuals on it but for some reason only 2 were coming up. I deleted the one that was not displaying and the course published then. Not sure why the 3rd jpg wasn’t coming up in preview/view mode, but I’m just going to leave it out.
Glad to hear it's working now. Hard to say why the jpg was causing issues, but if you'd still like to include it, you can try inserting it as a png instead - Storyline seems to prefer those anyway
