Can't install on Lenovo Yoga 3
Mar 16, 2015
Has anyone had success installing Storyline 2 on a Lenovo Yoga 3? The install hangs up at the "Adding Views" screen.
I am able to install Storyline, and Replay, but not Storyline 2.
Also, the font in Storyline is very very small (which I suppose is related to the high resolution screen) but that doesn't seem like it should interfere with actually installing the software.
I have put in a support ticket, but thought someone here may have faced and solved these problems already. Any help with getting the font size readable in Storyline 1, and/or getting Storyline 2 installed is greatly appreciated!

Hi Michelle,
Did you look to confirm that your system matches the system requirements here? Also the Storyline UI looking very small is likely based on your high resolution as Storyline needs to be on a system with a DPI setting of 96.
Since you mentioned you're working with our Support team as well, they should be able to help you identify if there are any other issues with installing Storyline 2 - so if you'd like to share your case number I can follow along.
I am having the same issue. My case number is 00499363.
Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for sharing your case number and it looks like you're working with my colleague Adrian. He's noted that he's waiting to take a look at your log files before proceeding so if you'd like to send those along to him he can continue working through your support case.
I installed the OEM version with no Lenovo Image for the Yoga 3 and it
works now. Oddly enough, after installing, I added back the apps and
drivers that came with the original image and it still works. Odd.
Thanks Cheryl, and I see that you also mentioned this as a part of your case with Adrian. If you need any further help please feel free to let us know.
So this thread is dated but since I can't find a viable solution from the forums, here I go reviving it. :-) I've got the same "install hangs up at adding views screen" on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro running Windows 10. My support case is 00838376. I've tried all possible screen resolutions under 2000px and set DPI at 96. Also, .net 4.6 is enabled. I'm deducing that it's not a windows 10 problem but one from the Yoga's drivers or pre-installed apps. I would appreciate if anybody can help me narrow down which to uninstall/disable. Thanks.
Hi- we had to install Windows 10 OEM to get it to work... Nothing from Lenovo. Eventually I added back One Touch. Since then it has been fine.

Hi Cheryl, I was hesitant at first to follow that route because I was afraid it would screw up the Yoga's various display modes. But what the heck! So taking your cue and because I've already upgraded to Windows 10, I instead used Windows 10's reset feature to still get a fresh install. The procedure didn't install Lenovo's bloatware and got Storyline 2 working. Thanks.
Thanks Rey for sharing that update here and letting us know you were working in a Support case as well. Looks like Victor was working with you and shared some other ideas in terms of the User interface elements and the reinstallation of Storyline. Thanks for the update and let us know if you need anything else!
