Hi all, I have a problem with viewing file in Google Chrome. When I preview it in other browser like IE, it show very smoothly. However, when I see it in Google Chrome version "ChromeStandaloneSetup140115" it show " File not found". This kind of file just published, not use in server yet.
If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. See this article for details.
I have a problem in viewing the published version on any browser. I published the articulate file on my local machine and then tried viewing it. It didn't open. I then uninstalled articulate and installed it again and published the file again and tried, it still didn't open. Can someone please provide a solution.
did you see Leslie's post above - she is explaining that things might not work if you publish and view locally. You should be viewing in the intended environment - a webserver or LMS. Have you tried uploading to Articulate Tempshare to view it?
Thanks for responding Wendy. I did try all the instructions that Leslie's post had but that didn't really get to the issue that I was facing.
Well I am now able to view the published file on IE for which I had to download the Adobe flash player 23 ActiveX. However, this allows me to view the file only on IE and not on Chrome.
Does Chrome have flash disabled within your set up? There was a recent change of the Flash behavior in terms of local deployment - but if you haven't included HTML5 as a part of your output and also have Flash disabled (check chrome://plugins/ to see) then the content won't open even if viewing in the intended publish environment.
I have a different issue now. After creating Try Me (Activity) a couple of the screen captures involve typing in data. When i go to do that i.e when i click the cursor on the box I get a pop-up "Please try again" and it doesn't allow me to have the cursor placed in there so that i can type what needs to go in as an input.
I did not pace this problem before. It was working fine before and now its not coz of the update.
It may be easier if we're able to take a look at the file so that I can test typing in it. My guess is that the text entry field is so small, that it's a bit tricky to click right on it. You could look at changing the overall size of it to make it a little bit larger - and see if that resolves it for you. The click of the box and the typing should be separate slides as well - so make sure you're seeing that distinction in addition.
If you want to upload it here, you can attach it at the bottom of the forum discussion using the "add attachment" button to share it here.

Hi Moni!
We posted a topic on this issue here.

Thanks Ashley.... I followed the steps provided by you and it worked. Thanks a ton!
