Can't Preview OR view course in Review

Mar 10, 2017

Hello,

I was able to preview this course multiple times prior and I have since saved it as a difference version. I am working on my C drive and I don't have any abbreviation or characters in my title. I have shorten the name as well from other discussions but nothing works. I have also restarted my computer and still the same problem.

I can't preview the course OR even see it when I publish it in Articulate Review.

Can you please let me know how this can be resolved? Thank you for your time. Priscillia

Hey Priscillia,

Hope you enjoyed your week off :)

Sorry this is still plaguing you! Is this happening only with one particular course, or is it happening in every course you're accessing and publishing in Storyline 360? Based on your initial post it sounds like you've seen these recommendations before, but just to verify- are you following these guidelines for working with Storyline 360 project files? What happens specifically when you attempt to preview the course or try to view it in Articulate Review? Are you receiving an error message of any sort, or is it just blank?

You're also welcome to share your .story project file right here in a comment so I can take a look. Thanks!

Hi Ali,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. This is happening on just this particular course in Articulate 360. Correct. I have tried the guidelines you mentioned in the link provided. When I try to preview the course the loading time is really slow and then when the wheel just keeps turning. I have let it turn for over 5 min and it was still doing the same thing. I tried doing this to the review and still same issue doesn't load. I tried publishing the file as well and just doesn't publish. This happened when importing my slides into a new file. Due to the subject matter I cannot share the course. Is there another way we can try to resolve the problem?

Hey Priscillia,

Thanks so much for the additional details here. I can completely understand not being able to share the course publicly due to content. Would you be able to share it privately over here with our Support Engineers instead? They can even sign an NDA if necessary. Once our Engineers receive your file, they'll be able to do some further investigation into the cause of this weird behavior.

If you let me know your case number after submitting it, I'll be sure to follow along as well! Thanks again :)

Did this ever get worked out. I have been publishing a course to Articulate Review for a week now (I keep making changes). Today I tried to change some stuff in the menu and when I published it everything went fine. When I went to Review it, the error message popped up Can not display page. I changed everything back on the menu and tried again with the same results. I've shut down the program and my computer and no help. Next I tried a course I had published several weeks ago and got the same message. Is there a site problem?

Hi there, Eric.  We had a brief outage of Articulate Review on the 22nd, but everything has been running normally since then.

For Priscilla, it was discovered that she had a text box with \u and that was creating an issue with her slide.  Changing that text allowed her content to preview and publish again normally.

Can you let me know how your publishing is behaving today?  And if you are still having issues publishing to Articulate 360, can you share your course here for me to test?

Thanks!

Hi Rix,

Can you confirm that you're working on local files and on the latest update of Storyline? Let me know what version of Storyline you're using - the latest versions of each are: Storyline 2 Update 12, Storyline 3 Update 2, and Storyline 360 Update 9.

You can check by going to the Help tab -> About Articulate Storyline

Have you tried to repair Storyline at all? If the crashing continues, don't hesitate to connect with our Support Engineers! They're around 24/7 and can help you pull the crash/error logs to see what's happening.
