Can't pubish or preview

Aug 28, 2013

Howdy -

I got a new laptop, and I had to reinstall Storyline and my character bundle. I was able to preview/publish before installing the character bundle, but since I installed the characters, I can't preview or publish. When previewing, the progress bar goes through all the slides (I;ve tried single slide, scene, and whole project), but it hangs at the end. I have to close the dialog to cancel. When publishing, it again compiles all the slides, but then returns to the Publish dialog, rather than showing it complete. It looks like I have my SWFs in the story content folder, and my meta.xml file, but no story.html file. I've tried publishing both with and without HTML 5 support. Any ideas? Do I need to reinstall Storyline again?

Thanks for any help!

I had exactly the same problem, but not related to reinstalling the software - it was after I updated to Update 3. I work around it by creating a new project and importing the old project. I have to do a few other things as well so any edits are a real headache and its a shame I can't preview my project!

Hi Miriam! It would be great if you could submit a case so that support can take a look at this.

Hi Susan! I think I found your question, although it showed up a little crazy:

I think we discussed this in another thread here, and I think that you should submit a case as well.
