I have a course that works perfectly, except for when the browser window opens - the course displays quite large. This wouldn't be a problem, except it forces the users to scroll down in order to see the next/prev buttons. We'd like them to see the buttons - and the entire course - without having to scroll.

Hi Maggie, that's an easy fix!
In the Player Properties window, click Other. Then under player size, select Scale player to fill browser window.
Voilà! No more scrolling needed. 😁
