Can't see where the Back and Next buttons are disabled

Jan 23, 2019

Good  Morning!

I have inherited a .story file created by a designer who no longer works at my company and I have to update it.  Some of the slides have the Back and Next buttons disabled until the time on the slide ends.  To save time I am uploading the file.  Previously there were variables to guide the learner but they were not working so I removed them.  If it would be faster for me to just start over please advise.  :-)

Thanks for taking a look.

Hi Jami, thanks for sending over your file!

It looks like you're using the Locked setting for navigation. This means learners can only view slides in the order you've designed. They can't jump ahead or skip over slides, nor can they go back to any previously viewed slides using the course menu.

Also, the Lock Next/Previous buttons setting is enabled which locks navigation buttons.

Is that the setting you want to use for this file? Would another setting like Free or Restricted work better for you?
