I would like our users to be able to view content offline on both the Android and iOS App. I don't however, want them to then share that content with other devices.
Is offline content tied to the device onto which it was downloaded?
That I understand. What I would like to know is once the user has
downloaded the tincan objects for offline use can they then share or send
them to other devices? That I don't want them to be able to do.
I guess I'm not following how they'll be able to download for offline viewing if it's not an option in Tin Can? But as a general rule if the user has it downloaded to their device, there isn't a way to stop them from copying/sharing the course as they could screen capture it or something similar. I don't know of any way that once it's downloaded that they'd be able to share the file - as even if they tried to send the story.html file to another user, they'd be prompted to log in again (if publishing with Tin Can and using the app).
Got it now Ashley :-) Despite the fact then when you publish for an LMS using the Tin Can API and you check both "Use Articulate Mobile Player for iOS or Android" and "Allow downloading for offline viewing" boxes the viewing offline option doesn't actually work in the player. If only I'd read your first response properly (doh - said in the style of Homer Simpson). Thanks again

I'm not sure of the answer Kenny, but the Litmos Help Desk should be able to help you support@litmos.zendesk.com
Hi Kenny,
You can let learners download Articulate Storyline courses for offline viewing in the Articulate Mobile Player app. However, the Available Offline switch won't work for Tin Can API content. The Articulate Mobile Player app requires an Internet connection to track Tin Can API content in a learning management system (LMS).
Thanks Ashley

Again Ashley I appreciate your help with this.

Interesting question Kenny. I'd be curious to know the answer to that.
