I have upload a video on to storyline, the video was taken at an odd angle. I would like to rotate the video 90 degree's to offset this, can it be done?
I had a similar problem with videos filmed on an iPhone. I'm using SL2. The grouping worked great and they play fine in IE. If I launch the module in our LMS using Chrome the video appears vertical. See the image attached.
Hi Leslie, Here is the video. It plays correctly in IE and vertical in Chrome. I'm not sure I'm posting the correct file so if it doesn't work, let me know.
It looks like the video plays correctly in Flash, but it rotates in HTML5. I’ll meet with my team to take a closer look at this, so that we can verify this is a bug. Sometimes my team catches errors in my logic and we don’t have a bug after all. Of course if that’s the case, I’ll let you know!
In the meantime, I would recommend rotating the video using another tool before you import it into Storyline. Then it should play correctly in both Flash and HTML5.
So our photography expert took the videos and rotated them. I no longer need the box to group and they ran fine in IE. Launched the course using Chrome and guess what, they are sideways again. Ugh...there is definitely a bug in SL2.

You can group the video with a transparent shape and then rotate that group.
Many thanks Michael for the advice it has worked,
Kind regards
Phil

Any suggestions? Help...
Hi D!
Do you experience the same issue if you view the content in SCORM Cloud as well?
I'm not familiar with a similar issue, so if you are able to replicate, please share your .story file with us so that we can take a closer look.

We do not use SCORM Cloud.
Hi D! Thanks for sharing your file. Could you also share the unpublished .story file so we can open it and take a look inside? Thanks!
Hi Alyssa, Hopefully this is the right file :)

I usually use a website to rotate and convert my videos to mp4's:
