We are implementing a new LMS - Trivantis CourseMill. Our compliance requirement is to be able to view correct/incorrect answers to our Storyline quizzes. Tech people from both the new LMS and our previous LMS have indicated that this is not possible with Storyline. We need to know if it's possible with STORYLINE VERSION TWO. If not, we may need to switch to a different authoring tool (probably Lectora), but we really don't want to do that!
I sent a message to Articulate Support and received an answer that I can't verify, because the sample .story file I was sent in reply can't be opened in my current version of Storyline.
The reporting of answers is entirely dependent on your LMS and how they'll utilize the information Storyline shares in the SCORM package. Some LMSs also have different requirements in regards to which SCORM version to use as a part of publishing - so that'll also determine what data is shared. You can see the general data Storyline will report here.
You could always look at testing a course at SCORM Cloud as it's an industry standard for LMS content and use that as a baseline for discussions with your LMS team.
You mentioned also talking with our support team, but that you could open the sample file - are you already using Storyline 2 or still on Storyline 1? The Storyline 2 files are not backwards compatible so you won't be able to open in Storyline 1 - but you could always download the free trial of Storyline 2 to play around with it.
Thank you for your reply. With our previous LMS we had been using AICC, not SCORM. I will need to find out what the new LMS will be using.
I did think about downloading the trial copy of Storyline 2, but I was concerned it might interfere with my current installation of Storyline 1. Can you shed any light on that?
Once I am able to test further, I will post any additional related questions that may come up.
Storyline 2 and 1 can live on the same system and the only change you may notice is that the icons for project files may all appear as Storyline 2 and that'll be the default program they will try to open up in. Not to worry though, as if you open a SL1 file in SL2, we automatically create an SL1 backup. If you make any changes in SL2, you won't be able to open that version in SL1, so just be cautious of that if you start working with new features and such.

You can test AICC content at SCORM Cloud as well if needed.
