I have an issue. I want to utilize product videos posted to YouTube. However, the end-user of the training does not have access to YouTube, it is not a whitelisted site. Now that YouTube does not allow embedded codes to be utilized I am not sure how to make this happen. Any ideas?
I'd strongly suggest you receive the video from the copyright holder, along with a written copyright release. If the owner fails to deliver these two pieces at the very least a reasonable person could infer no permission given
Tara - you can look in the Video Description (Click Show More) to see if the video has a Standard YouTube license or Creative Commons license. If it has a Standard YouTube license, you need to request permission to use it. If it has a Creative Commons license, you are free to use it.

I've addressed this issue by doing the following:
1) Contacting the YouTube user for permission to use their video in my training.
2) Using free software to download the YouTube video and insert it directly into the training.
Good luck!
Thanks Angela for the update - and good ideas to share here for others who can't access YouTube!
Thank you. Does anyone know if there are legality issues using the free software to download YouTube videos?
