I have a textbox on screen with one font and want to change it to another font. If I access the Home tab > Font options, no matter what I try and change the font to it - in this case Source Sans Pro it reverts to Open Sans but if I highlight the textbox on screen and use the popup formatting menu that displays I can change it no problem. Is this a bug that has already been notified.
When you are using the Home tab function, are you highlighting the text first? I did test this and both the home tab and the pop up format box both worked. Do you want to share the file in question?
I get a slightly different version of this problem, but I can't recreate it at will. I find that some files I created it Storyline 1 and have converted to Storyline 2 have the Articulate font (even though I never use this font) and no matter what I do I cannot change the font to something else in Storyline 2.
this is a new project file in SL2 Update3 and it is happening again now in a slide master. I created a menu on a layer and added text boxes for the menu items. On the first menu item (even though my default theme font is set to Source Sans Pro) it displays as Open Sans - no matter what I do, it won't change from the top Home > Font option menu. The second text box which is a duplicate of text box 1 - I can change the text to whatever I want from the Home > Font option menu or the popup quick menu.
Who'd work with software ;-) ha ha
thanks for checking that I'm not going crazy - have a nice weekend
Thanks for the updates! Unfortunately I am still not able to reproduce this on my end. In both regular slides and slide masters, I am able to change the font from both the pop up box and the Home tab.
I stripped out the entire project and just kept one slide to show what was happening. When I saved that one slide story file it registered as 69MB file size even though it was one slide with some text boxes and a couple of screen grabs.
I created a new project and imported that one slide in and the file size is now 312KB which is more like I would expect it to be.
Is there a save issue with SL that it is retaining a large file size even when stripped down?
Is there a best practice we should be following for saving SL files? As I continue to build my story files I keep saving over the top of the original (and make backups too) but is this causing file size to double/triple each time as if it is holding original setup then plus new save items and so on?

Hey Emily
I can't recreate it now...it was only happening on one text box where it just wouldn't change from Open Sans so I have deleted and rebuilt it.
I will let you know if it happens again...just a gremlin I suspect
Thanks for chasing it up.

I could change mine from pop up quick menu as well so this sounds like the same bug.
Thanks Nancy - I'll log it

Wendy - did you submit a support case?
Hi Emily
not yet. Had to get a project draft to a client yesterday will do over the weekend and will quote this thread in the case.
Thanks for the update Wendy. If you get a case number could you share it here so I can follow along?
Hi Emily
Case # 00447263.

Thanks for sharing the case umber, I will keep an eye on this for the resolution. You should be hearing from someone shortly.
