I have downloaded and installed the trial version of Articulate Storyline. I have created a new slide and added a background, but when I insert a shape or a character, they do not appear on the slide correctly.
If re-installing didn't help, you may want to check your current DPI settings. If your DPI is set to anything other than 96, it can cause this type of issue with Storyline content.
Here's some more information:
Storyline will function as expected when Windows is set to 96 DPI (dots per inch).
Storyline does not currently support 120 DPI. If your system is set to 120 DPI, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:
* Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.
* Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.

Hi Kay,
this is indeed odd!
Try to resize your project
Hope it works,
Geert
Hello Geert,
Thank you for your reply, it is very much appreciated. I have tried your suggestions and unfortunately this has not worked.
I am wondering if the trial software I have downloaded is corrupt in some way?
Kay
Hi Kay,
You can always reinstall the trail version again. SL is a magnificent product and it would be a shame not being able to profit from it
Cheers
Geert

Thank you Geert and Christine for your helpful suggestions.
I changed the DPI settings on my display as Christine suggested and it has done the trick
Thank you both for your quick replies and your support.
