Hi there,
I saved my file in StoryLine 2, but I can't open it now. I try to change the .tmp file to .story file (from Window Explorer) and also tried to import the slides via Storyline but I still can't open my file. I spend long hours working on it. Please help me with this. I attached the error message that appear. I just don't understand why is StoryLine 2 so unstable.
PS: The file is saved on my desktop.

Hi, Jasmine --
Thanks so much for your question and I'm really sorry to hear about your Articulate Storyline project file. There is a chance it could be corrupt beyond recovery. However, there may still be a working version of your project in your temp files. Here's how to check:
1) Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
2) Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
3) Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
4) Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.

Hi Christie,
I tried using the suggested method but unfortunately I still can't open the file. I am re-doing it now.
Hi, Jasmine -- Sorry to hear the method suggested above did not do the trick for you. In the hopes of avoiding potential corruption in the future, please take a look at this article with recommendations to Create, Edit, and Publish Articulate Storyline Courses on Your Local Hard Drive.
