Cannot publish a full course to Articulate Review for 360

Apr 13, 2018

I am no longer able to upload an entire course to Articulate Review. I receive the message, "There was an error publishing your course to Articulate 360. Please check your Internet connection and try again." However, I can upload a Scene or a slide without issue. The Internet is fine and I receive the same results from the office, the hotel, and from home. This just started happening yesterday. I have tried this with multiple files to no avail.

I'm sorry you've run into such trouble, Christopher! I saw you also opened a support case and Robert sent you some steps to repair Storyline. That's also what I'd recommend to start - and if it's still not working let Robert or I know. My next suggestion is to also check that nothing has changed in terms of how you can access Articulate 360 as a whole. You can verify the Network Endpoints and ports here with your IT team.

Ashley,

I don't think it is a network error at all. I believe the problem lies with
slides that were copied into an existing project.

We have been having issues with projects morphing in size for no apparent
reason. After some research, we noticed that when you copy one slide from a
presentation into another presentation, the entire underlying recording goes
along for the ride - hence the huge size increase for just a single slide.
To alleviate the issue, we took a SnagIt screenshot of the original slide
and pasted the image onto a new blank slide and just added the objects and
triggers manually. Then, we could copy that slide anywhere. I found that I
could publish and upload any slide to Articulate 360, provided I didn't
include one of the new slides in the set. The reason I couldn't publish an
entire project is that the problem slide(s) were always somewhere in the
project. That's why I got mixed results with some parts working and other
parts not working.

I tried importing the entire problem project into an empty "non-problem"
project and republishing to Articulate 360, which solved the problem.

This gets us moving on production and reviews. However, I would like to
circle back later and find out what we did wrong with the new slides.

Thank you for your help.

Take care,

Chris Grace

Hi, Annette.

Thank you for reaching out!

When you try to publish to Review 360, do you get an error? If so, can you share the error message?

My first suggestion would be to take a look at the network endpoints and ports listed here to make sure they're enabled (your IT department should be able to help with this!).

If you've done this and you're still experiencing the same issue, the next step is to open a case with our support engineers through this link
