Cannot Save Low Memory... About to have a heart attack....

Mar 11, 2018

I'm on 64 bit windows with 16g ram.

Have been working on this project all day and saving periodically - just added and entire scene that took a couple of hours to make and now I'm getting the error that the story cannot be saved?

I did have After Effects and Audition open in the background but I've closed both - attached is a picture of the memory usage... what gives?  How can I save this and not lose all this work?

Thank you.

EDIT... annnnd the program crashed... and my scene is gone.  Not once - ever - has an adobe product - ever - had this issue.  I can run Premier & After Effects and Captivate at the same time with no issues.  I've been forced to use Storyline because that's the decision the company I work for made.

Now I'm terrified to rebuild this scene with the complexity I had added to it.  I'm also terrified to run it with anything else open - which is painfully inconvenient.

Please tell me there's an easy fix here - I'm reading other posts 4-5 years old with the same issue... how is this still a problem?

Hi Allen,

I'm so sorry to read this, and I can only begin to imagine how frustrating this is.

Our team has been investigating a few customer reported issues with low memory warnings or persistent crashing of Storyline, and we are looking for more examples of this. Either the project that crashed Storyline or additional information about your system set up.

I see that you reached out to our Support team as well this weekend, so I'm going to let them know about your post here as well and someone will be in touch soon!

Again, I'm truly sorry - but I promise our team is taking these issues seriously and working towards a fix.
