Cannot see some installed fonts

Oct 21, 2013

Hi all,

I installed 4 fonts (true type), a light, regular, medium and bold. I can only see the regular version and not the other 3.

I've tried installing them with and without storyline open but it makes no difference.

Any assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi Luke and welcome to Heroes!

Are you able to use the varying types of the fonts within Word? Unless the font weight variants are available within WordPad, Notepad, Office, and so on, I would not expect to have access to them within Storyline.   If you'd like to see specific support for font weights within Storyline, submit a Feature Request.

I also wanted to point you to this reference article from Microsoft.

If you see the regular font version show up, most of the time that means that all of the other variants are available as well if they had also been installed. You can verify that they are available by clicking on the pop-out font options and checking all of the font variants under 'Style'. For example, if you had installed the Italic version of that font, then the Italic option should be listed here. If the font that you downloaded did not come in Italic, then the drop down would not list it as an option.

Yes, I know this post is 5 years old. It may be important to note that I'm using Storyline 360, while the OP was probably using Storyline 1. I'm not sure if the same thing applies. Regardless, if anybody else runs into this issue, hopefully this might be of some assistance.
