Captions bug?

Feb 14, 2020

I am having an issue where a caption from one slide will just hang out and carry over into all subsequent slides. It's random. Sometimes it will happen in a scene preview. I close out the preview, and without making changes, revisit the preview and it doesn't happen again. I just published the whole presentation and it did it again, so it's not just a bug with previewing. I'm using the most recent 360. Any thoughts?

I'd like to piggy back on this post to see if it will gain some traction. Same thing happens to me (image attached).

This only happens when I have the seekbar on and open and the Play/Pause button active. If you click pause half way through a slide with the captions on, and then click on the menu to go to another page, the caption from the last page stacks on top of the captions from the current page. If you do the same thing multiple times, you get a whole lotta stacked CC's.

I've submitted a case to support as well, but maybe the community has a fix?

Hi Caitlin,

Thanks for contacting us and sharing what you are running into with your closed captions.

Do you know what version of Storyline you're using?

You can check by going to:
Help > About Articulate Storyline

We are currently on Build 3.40.22208.0 of Storyline 360. You can read all of the details here.

We had a similar issue that was resolved in Update 39, so I'm curious if you're a few updates behind or if you're running into a different issue.
