Currently I have a license for Articulate Studio and Camtasia 8. I'm looking to purchasing Captivate along with Articulate Storyline. Has anyone ever integrated both? I have some technical conversations with Adobe and am being steered towards buying their e-learning suite. I really like pieces from both products and think they could work well together. Has anyone ever done this? Thanks!
Could you share a little bit more about what you're desired outcome is in terms of the integration, features you're looking to use, etc.? I was in the same boat as you not too long ago and I'm a big fan of Camtasia 8, so any questions you may have, let 'em rip!
Well I like how Captivate can demonstrate the "How To" click by click and let the user do. I like how Articulate can setup scenarios and integrate avatars as a teaching mechanism. So my desired outcome would be to set the scenario up in Articulate and have Captivate to the how to. Final output in either Articulate or Captivate. Does that make sense? Is there better way of doing? I need to incorporate Captivate somehow because the vendor will be providing a majority of the content.
Storyline can also do the "How To" click by click. Reference So you could just do the entire thing in Storyline and save the step of using either Camtasia or Captivate. Is the vendor sending you the content in Captivate files?
Yes the vendor is sending the files in Captivate. This will save quite a bit of time on creating new e-learning modules. Can I put Captivate 5.5 or version 6 files into Articulate Storyline? I guess that is the better question to ask. I'd like to use both.
I haven't tried it myself. I would think that technically, it's possible via a web object type approach. The challenge would be if you wished to grade the learner's interaction with the Captivate content in some way. That wouldn't be real feasible.
Thanks Mike. Grading would still occur in Articulate and be the overall presenter. Captivate would just serve as the how to. I have a call later this afternoon with Adobe to further discuss but wanted to know if anyone in Articulate land had tried such thing.

James,
Here's a support article on the topic: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=qlzslj9rue8k
