I am trying to do something similar and I am trying to find the plugin required for Moodle. I can't seem to find Scorm Reports on the moodle plugin page, running it on 2.8 at the moment. Any idea what I can do?
Hi Ed! This thread is a bit dated. If you do not hear back soon, be sure to reach out directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile. I know we have a lot of Moodle users here in the forums, so hopefully someone will be able to assist you.
When I published to SCORM 1.2, Moodle only captured 255 characters. This seems to be the limitation of the SCORM 1.2. But when I tried to publish to SCORM 2004, Moodle did not capture any responses. Any suggestions on how to capture students' response when it is longer than 255 characters? Thanks.
Hi Yang Yang! I just wanted to clarify if you were possibly using survey questions. The short answer has a limit of 256 characters, while the Essay question allows for 5,000 characters. The reason why I thought you might be using survey questions is that I wouldn't expect a user to be able to correctly answer with 255+ characters! :)

add the text entry as a question either essay or text entry and then add it to a result slide
Hi Phil,
Thanks for the advise.
So you are saying that Moodle can capture Storyline text entry? :)
Yes if you have it as part of a question and report it to moodle using a results page, you can then run a scorm report to get the info
Thanks you for the confirmation. Now I know that I'm in a right track.
Do you have some tutorial links to create essay in Storyline so that I can test?
I really appreciate your help Phil.

Hi Phil,
Hahah! it works like a charm :) ! Moodle captures the answers from the essay and short answer form.
Can I add scores on the survey and short answer questions?
Thank you again Phil!
Kind Regards,
Erwin
