Yes, it is possible, but not easy, and not purely within Storyline. I did this once before, but I had to use AT&T's Watson voice recognition web module, a lot of javascript, and also I had to add a java plugin on the user's computer. (Java and javascript are different things). Adding java on the user's computer is the only way you can access the user's hardware enough to access the microphone from the browser. This also opens up all kinds of security issues, so this would probably only work in a controlled corporate network environment, and would not work very well across a WAN. This would be a task for someone who is very good with java coding, javascript coding, and Watson voice technology coding, (Or some other voice recognition technology coding) experience. Certainly not a task for the faint hearted.
At this time, Storyline does not allow you to record voice/audio answers. Perhaps you could submit that as a feature request! As to what you are trying to accomplish, others in the community may have advice for you. You may want to check out Nancy's suggestion here.

do you need to store the audio as a text variable or just have transcribed?
