CC file causing Error

Apr 20, 2018

I have tried to re-install Storyline 3, recreate the deck, start new, and even edit out numerical symbols from the CC file but it still is causing an error when previewing or publishing.

The file is previously a .smi file. I upload it and the video to YouTube, download the converted .mp4 and .sbv, that has worked great up until now.

I'm wondering if this is a bug on my system or if there are a list of characters that the closed captioning cannot process inside Storyline. Thoughs?

Hi Joel,

I'm able to import that file and preview/publish the course.

Curious if the issue happens in any course you are working on or just this particular one?

If you cannot re-create the issue in a new course, I would advise to import the file into a new one and proceed.

If it's happening in any/all files, you should certainly conduct a repair of your software.

If you're still having difficulty, share the .story file, even if it's just the slide that this caption file goes with, and I'd be happy to take a look.
