Are you using Storyline 1? If so, when you publish an Articulate Storyline course for CD, you may find that the backspace and arrow keys on your keyboard don't work in data-entry fields.
This is a known issue that affects the following interactive objects and slide types:
Use either of the following options to avoid this behavior:
Place your mouse cursor before the text that needs to be removed and use the delete key.
Publish for Web, LMS, or Articulate Online rather than CD.
If you're using Storyline 2, please let me know and I will want to take a look at how you've set up the field and be able to test your course myself. Are you viewing the CD published output locally or did you place on a USB or CD?
Thanks Emalyn - so you won't be able to use the backspace key as documented above. I don't have any additional information to share in regards to when or if this will be fixed, so you may want to instruct your users in regards to the use of the "delete" key.
