CD version is slow and timings are off

Jan 04, 2018

I am wondering if anyone else is having issues with publishing courses to CD. I find the timings are off, and the course is slow. The course was originally created in Storyline 1, and we recently upgraded to Storyline 360.  I even recreated a new course in 360 to test it, and I am having the same issue.

Hello Daiko

I had a similar issue with delays/lags when publishing to CD in Aug 2017.  I logged a support case with Articulate (Case #01124413) and the guys where fantastic.

In Aug they reported that it seemed to be a system bug, but the work-around that solved my issue was to:  "use story_html5.html launch file from the output folder while we are working on this issue".

Articulate support came back to me in Nov to say that they had fixed the issue with the latest version of Storyline 360 (v3.10.13923.0) from 14 November 2017.

I recommend checking if you have any updates waiting to be installed, as this may hopefully be an easy fix.

Cheers Christine

I too have large quality issue with my published EXE's. Animations are glitchy, videos take seconds to load instead of just playing.

Is there a fix for this?

We have sensitive government info on this course, I can't upload it. Anyone else have this issue?

EDIT:
Also this is a Launch_story.exe played locally, not on CD or network drive.

Hi Cameron,

We do have an open issue specific to content with a lot of animation and when published to CD.

Looks like our team is still investigating this one. I'll be happy to update the report with a link here, but if you are able to share your .story file with our team privately that would be helpful. You can share it here.

Hi, Jessica. Thanks for checking in!

No ETA on a solution as of yet, but I promise we'll keep everyone here posted on any new information. Here's an inside look at how we tackle bugs once they're reported

If you're able to share the .story file, we're always happy to take a closer look to see if we can offer some solutions in the meantime.
