CD version of Storyline output

Nov 02, 2012

I just published a Storyline to CD for the first time.  Is there a way to change the output display size?  As you can see in the screenshot below, it doesn't fill the screen, and I wasn't able to find a way to make this different during publishing.  It doesn't seem to be resizable once it displays.

Hi Joyce,

I haven't had a chance to test this for CD myself yet, but you may want to try changing your story size then republishing. Keep in mind though, that it's always better to change the story size before starting a project because objects may get rearranged or resized. For that reason, you may want to save out a version of your course before adjusting the changes.

Thanks for the information.  I wasn't really looking to have the presentation get wider.  I was hoping there was a way to "maximize" the CD version of the presentation so that it fills the screen instead of being a little box in the middle of the screen.  This presentation is for people who don't have access behind our firewall, so it must be played from a CD instead of from the web or LMS (our prefered options).  We can live with it this way - just hope that the computer it's played from doesn't have a busy desktop with a lot of icons.

I didn't try it with the selections you displayed here (Display at current with Scale to Fill).  Instead I used Resize to Optimal with Scale to fill.  It seemed to work very well.  My only concern now with the CD display is that each slide seems to load separately so there's a slight lag between them.  It isn't as smooth as publishing for Web or LMS.
