I have a bunch of links in a text box in a Scrolling panel .... I can't add a state just to the hyperlink, for some reason the only way I can add a state is to the text box. Do I need to make each hyperlink in it's own text box so be able to change it's state?
Sorry, I didn't realize you were working with hyperlinks in a scrolling panel. Would something like this work? The only drawback is that you'll need to create different text boxes for the hyperlink in the panel. You can still do this though and drag it into the panel with the normal text boxes. If the hyperlink is in the same text box as the rest of the text, it'll alter the state for that entire box.
That should do it Christine ... seems like a lot of work, I guess a good feature request would be to have control over your hover state in your theme colors.

Here ya go, Dave.
That what you're looking for?
Hi Peter ... so there is no way to just change the hover background color by itself?
Hi Dave,
Sorry to jump in here, but if you'd like, you could use states to add more customization to the hyperlink text.
Here's a quick example.
