Ive tried everything. I have a video I want to finish before the Next button is active. I cant get that to work. As a workaround I set it to change slides when the timeline ends. That wont work either. What am I missing? It cant possibly be that hard.
without seeing the file I'm not sure to have your problem too clear but
you could try to set the initial state of the Next button as hidden and then set up a trigger to change the state of the button to normal once media completes;
Hi, you should be able to set up two triggers to do this - one to set the Next button to disabled when the timeline starts and one to change the state to Normal when the media completes.
Stafano and Noel, that is exactly what I tried. Initial state 'Disabled' and changed state 'Normal'. When I preview the project the button stays disabled
The attached is how I would set it up if I was using the inbuilt Storyline triggers for the Next and Previous buttons. If you have a custom Next button then set the state of the Next button to Disabled (in the state section at the bottom of the slide) and then set up a trigger to change the state to Normal when the media completes.
OK, if you have it set up the attached and it's still not working then it is a technical issue. You might want to check the order of your triggers - the disabled trigger needs to go at the top.

Thanks Noel! The 'when media completes' instead of 'when timeline ends' was the key.
Great!
