When you add in a screen recording you'll be able to format the mouse clicks. To do so, click on the "mouse" within the timeline or on the slide itself and you'll see a section appear in the top toolbar to Format -> Mouse. In the far left hand side you'll see the choice to have no clicks, single click or double click:
I'm curious, when I tried to change mine, the sound associated with a single click still sounds like a double-click. Is there a way to replace that sound in the base product so that it sounds correct?
Here you go. I deleted most of the rest of the course out. But if you look at the 2nd scene called mouse test, you can see under format that a single mouse click is selected, but the sound that i hear is a double-click sound. Thanks

Ah, ok! That does make sense, and I understand what you mean a little better now. The "Single click" sound we use mimics an actual mouse click- so like you mentioned, you'll hear both the click and the click release.

Thanks for letting us know, Lynn! That's definitely odd.
Can you share a copy of your .story file here and let me know where you're hearing that happen? You can add it in a comment right here like this:
Thanks again!

Hey there Lynn!
Thanks for sharing your file with me. When I previewed your slides, I'm hearing the "Single Click" sound for the mouse clicks.
I did a quick screen recording to demonstrate what I'm hearing. Take a Peek at it here and let me know if you're hearing something different!
Thanks. That was what I heard too. It just sounds like two clicks to me. I guess it is the press and release of the mouse.
In the past (years ago), we had a different sound when using Captivate that sounded like just the one press (without the release of the mouse).
Thanks for looking it at it though
