I would like to change the dark/light Player theme color to my own color or a picture. I know i saw a description on how to do this, but i cant find it again.
Using the Modern Player, there is currently only the Light or Dark options to choose from, but you can change the accent color as well as a few other items. Here's how.
If you need more control over colors for each player feature, you have two options for that. You can switch to the classic player and use the advanced color options as described here.
A member of the community did share a workaround in another conversation. Take a look and let me know if this is what you were referring to!
Thanks Ran, That is very useful. However.... I want to add a picture instead of changing to a solid color. I have seen a post describing how you can add the picture reference in a post here, but i cant find it :-(. It was described that you after the publish make an update in one of the created files. It could have been in SL3.

Hello Mats!
There isn't an option to display an image as the Player, so it must be a workaround that you saw!
This sounds similar to what you're mentioning: Adding background image behind player In Storyline 3
