I'm trying to change the tracking option while publishing an xAPI quiz on Storyline. I previously used the "Track using number of slides viewed" option, but now I want to change that to "Track using course trigger", but the option is grayed out and unable to be selected. Please see attachment.
I hope everything is well. You'll need to create Course Completion Triggers in order for that option to work. Course completion triggers let you control precisely when a course is marked complete. Use them to send a status update to your LMS when learners perform a specific action or reach a certain point on the timeline.
Also, keep in mind that a Storyline course can be tracked by only one of these three options:
The number of slides viewed A quiz result Completion triggers
For some reason, the completion trigger I had on these scenes were set to "disabled". I did not disable them manually but perhaps they were automatically disabled by Storyline when I published a different scene with "Number of slides viewed".
I enabled the completion triggers and I can publish with that trigger now - thank you!
Same! I wrestled with this for almost an hour before finding this thread. In my case, the trigger kept reverting back to a disabled state. I had to enable the completion trigger, save and then publish (without previewing) to get it to stick. So odd!

That's great to know! I'm happy to help.
