Je souhaite faire une analyse de quiz un peu poussée : chaque réponse correspond à une catégorie. Le nombre de points obtenues dans chaque catégorie se matérialise sous forme graphique (donc 4 barres dans l'histogramme).
Yes that can be done. You need to add up the scores for each question in a category. Then, based on that variable value, you can use triggers to change the state of an object. See here an example. Instead of manually selecting values like in the example, you would use the category scores.
Thanks for sharing your file so that we could take a look at what you are experiencing.
Is this an excerpt of a course? I'm seeing most of the items listed as unassigned.
Your triggers were also set to 'Set Style1 equal to 1.00' when the user clicks x. So this value would always be 1 if the user ever clicked a value for Style 1.
Sounds like you'd rather use Add 1. I modified your first slide:
Try this with the subsequent slides to match the legend you shared and see if that helps you out :)
I did exactly what you said, I add a trigger to every Radio button (Add 1 to the variable Style 1 for example) for every question but it doesn't change the final value of the variable in my last slide...
It is not a part of a course, just a questionnary.
The triggers to change states based on Style 2, 3, 4 are all set to 'When Style xyz changes'. They need to be set to "When timeline starts', just like the triggers to change rectangle 1.

I've tried your method. So I did :
- When the user click on the radio button, add 1 to the variable Category1 (like this, for every question and every button)
- Then, for example : change de state of the object in state 1 if the variable Category1 is modify (condition : if the category1 value = 1)
But it doesn't work at all. Even when I add a text with the reference of the variable, it doesn't change the number of the variable.
What should I do ?
Thanks so much for your help !
Hello Véronique,
Would you be able to share the .story file you are working on so that we can take a look and see why your variables may not be working as expected?
Of course !
You'll find as well the copy of the result I need to show in this articulate project.
Thank you !

Looks great! Way to go Véronique!
I think what may have tripped you up was the results slide was adjusting your rectangle based on when the 'Style 1' variable changed.
Setting this to adjust when the timeline starts with a condition of the actual value works much better.
So, I added the other triggers to test and everything looks good.
Take a look at your updated file :)
Hi Leslie,
I actually have no idea how you did this... it seems like the method i used to try but with you, it has worked :)
I tried to do the same things with the different shape but it doesn't work. I don't know what I didn't do like you...
The triggers to change states based on Style 2, 3, 4 are all set to 'When Style xyz changes'. They need to be set to "When timeline starts', just like the triggers to change rectangle 1.
Oh that's why ! Thank you so much, it works perfectly now !!!
Hi ! Last question... How can I have an extract of all the results of everyone who did the test e-learning ? How does it work ?
Thank you for your answer !
Hi Véronique,
Typically it'll be up to your Learning Management System (LMS) to gather and report out that data. Storyline will report quiz data as detailed here.
You'll also want to ask your LMS team if there is a particular tracking method or option you should choose at publish.
