Changing a slide layout after you've created it

Jul 11, 2013

Hi, I am just starting to use the software and struggling a bit!  For instance if I originally select a new slide to be a 'title slide' and then change my mind and want to convert it to a question slide, how do I do that without starting a whole new slide?!

Thanks!

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Katie!

What type of question are you wanting to create? If you want to create a freeform type question, you can simply click on the "Insert" tab and select "Convert to Freeform". In the next window, you'll be able to select the type of question you'd like to use for the slide.

It should look something like this:

You may also want to check out the following tutorial:

Converting an Existing Slide to a Freeform Interaction

If you're wanting to create a question that is not freeform, you can use the CTRL+A shortcut to select all of the content in the slide and paste it into a new question slide using the CTRL+V shortcut to paste the content. If you want to insert the content into the question or answer fields for a built-in question type, you can cut the content off of the slide and paste it into whichever field you'd like to use for the text, etc.

I hope this helps!

Please feel free to ask any questions :)

Thanks and welcome again, Katie!
