If I have a range of objects for which I would like to change their state based on a variable - can I do this via javascript? That way I can create if/then loops etc.
Hi, Peter -- You may already be aware of this, but I wanted to pop in and note that Articulate does not provide support for JavaScript coding, however, it may be helpful to take a look at the JavaScript Best Practices link Michael provided. Best of luck with your project! :)
As Christie mentioned above, we do not provide support for Javascript. I'm not sure I'm following what you are asking, but perhaps this thread will assist?
If not, hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist.
Had a great day, right? My problem with SL is that I wish to get a presentation that is mix of animation and classic SL abilities. Well, it's not so easy, but if you have enough time to try & error then something will sooner or later appear! To make a web page spiced with HML5 & JS is much easier than mix JS with SL, triggers and build-in variables are great but I need a little more freedom... thank you anyway.

You can certainly pass a variable back and forth between Storyline and Javascript. Here are some basic examples on how to do that.

O.k I learning about Javascript and now I see that its is not supported in Storyline.
Javascript IS supported in Storyline.
Hi, Helena -- I was just stating above that Articulate staff do not provide support for JavaScript issues. Sorry if there was any confusion!
Good... Articulate stuff doesn't offer support for JS, but how to reference objects from layers in custom Javascript code?
