Changing state of buttons/Grouping text labels and buttons
Nov 24, 2020
Please help. I have set up three buttons on one slide of my presentation. I have a text label on the buttons. I had grouped each label and button so that whether the user clicked on the text or the button it would open the linked slide.
I want the user to click on all three buttons before the next button becomes unhidden and returns to normal state to allow them to progress.
It seems you cannot add states to groups. So how do I change the state of the buttons/labels? If I ungroup the buttons and labels, and add the visited state to the button, if they happen to click on the text (rather than the button) then the state wouldn't change. One of my text labels actually takes up the whole button, so I could add the state to that.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, Jo,
Don't use a separate button and label that are grouped. Instead, add the label to the button's states. That will keep those items together, allow the user to click either, and gives you a visited state.
See the attached file for a quick example.
Thank you!
