I've got pictures and a text box on a slide which change using the same set of variables. The state of the pictures change perfectly but the text box doesn't change at all! Has anyone come across this?

I think the light box blocks your state change. I build you a version that works with layers instead of light boxes. Its pretty easy to build and you have everything together in one slide. This way we work the whole time, if you have one topic and information "hidden" behind a picture, it´s the easiest way to build your course. Plus you don´t even need a variable. :)
using the lightboxes didn't block the states changing on the images so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I need the variables for slides that come later in my training so even if I use layers they have to stay in.
The variables are not True when the timeline starts the first time, and lightboxing another slide does not restart it.
Build this trigger like you did the ones for the images, so it depends on being fired by the change to a variable. That means you need one for each variable (Change state when ZHD changes on condition all variables are true, etc).
I had them set like that to start with, I've tried again and it doesn't make any difference. I have the same issue with text boxes even when I use layers instead of light boxes. Really stumped with this one.

Hi,
maybe your trigger are not in the right order? Could you share your slide with us so we can have a look?
I've attached the storyline piece

The problem is this trigger:
The variables are not True when the timeline starts the first time, and lightboxing another slide does not restart it.

Hi Zandra!
I utilized layers and I believe it's working as you wish. Take a peek at your updated file.
Thanks Susi, I never thought of using other state changes as triggers
The file doesn't open for me Leslie, sorry
What is happening when you try to open the file? Can you try in another browser perhaps?
