I've seen some quirky behavior here. In my case, the first character, or sometimes, character zero, the character before the first character, is an Articulate font.
It created problems for me when Exporting for translation...
indeed, the change in font doesn't always happen that is just the frustrating/fun part of it. Guys at the office are placing bets for when it happens...

The text size change is a known annoyance. Articulate says they're working on it, we'll see.
You can avoid text size change by setting VIEW to 100%
