If you add a caption and then use the Fade In / By First Level Paragraph animation, when you change the state of the caption to hidden, the frame disappears but the text remains. This only appears to happen in the text is faded in by first level paragraph and not when faded in all at once. Weird, I assume this is a bug

Looks like a bug. There's a few issues with effect done by first level paragraph.
I'd report it to Articulate: http://www.articulate.com/support/contact/submit.php
