I suspect the answer will be no, but.....is it possible to change the state of a player button based on a trigger from within the story?
E.g. I know you can set a condition on the Next button so you can't progress until the condition is met, but it'd be great to be able to make that button disappear as well, as you would with a bespoke button.
Your suspicion is correct: you can't change the state of the Player buttons. They're either there or not for the entire duration of a given slide. That's why people sometimes hide them for an entire course and create custom Prev & Next buttons. It's more work, but you get more control.
